Brother Travis Alltop is the pastor of Bluegrass Pike Baptist Church in Danville, KY. Brother Travis was saved around the age of eight at the Grafton Road Baptist Church in Grafton, OH. After hearing several sermons on hell and learning of the great love that Jesus Christ has toward sinners, Travis called upon the Lord in faith and was saved. Before being called to preach and placed into the ministry, Brother Alltop traveled and played music professionally for several years. During his time of traveling, God began to convict and stir his heart about serving the Lord Jesus more seriously. After learning that Christians will give account of their service to their Lord at the coming Judgment Seat of Christ, Travis began re-evaluating his life's plans and goals. As God dealt with his heart, Travis surrendered his life to the Lord and left the road in June 2002. Having heard about a strong, Bible-believing work through some musician friends, Brother Alltop and his wife began visiting Cornerstone Baptist Church in Carthage, TN in the fall of 2002. As the preaching of the word of God did its work, their lives began to change and they joined Cornerstone by the end of that same year. During his time at Cornerstone Baptist Church, the Lord impressed a call on Brother Alltop's heart to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ of which he surrendered to in November 2005. After studying in the Bible Institute there for several years under the direction of Pastor Ron Ralph, the Lord opened the door and Brother Travis became the pastor of Bluegrass Pike Baptist Church in Danville, KY in December 2007. You can check out the church online at www.bluegrasspikebaptist.com. Currently, Brother Alltop resides in Stanford, KY with his wife, Heather and their children, Hudson, Emily, and Harrison.
